أوليانوف يحذر من احتمال استئناف القتال في الخليج الفارسي

Russian permanent representative to international organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Olyanov, warned on Tuesday evening that the current situation in the Persian Gulf is “deeply concerning” and that the possibility of renewed fighting cannot be ruled out. In a post on the social‑media platform X, which was reported by Yemen’s Saba news agency, Olyanov criticised the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the United Nations Security Council for continuing what he described as “absurd and provocative games” over the Iranian nuclear file. Olyanov said that instead of addressing real problems, the IAEA’s Board of Governors and the Security Council were engaging in routine practices that he deemed unproductive. He added that the Security Council had convened a meeting on the Iranian nuclear issue yesterday (Tuesday) at the request of Western states, following the IAEA Board’s decision to refer the matter to the Council. Russia and China opposed holding the meeting.
