**Pakistan and Kuwait Sign Protocol Agreement to Enhance Defense Cooperation**

*Islamabad, Pakistan –* The armed forces of Pakistan and a high‑level delegation from Kuwait have signed a new defense‑cooperation protocol, formally titled the “Protocol Agreement 2026.” The agreement, signed in Rawalpindi, aims to strengthen bilateral military ties by providing training for the Kuwaiti army and offering assistance in border‑defence matters.

The Kuwaiti delegation was led by Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al‑Salim Al‑Sabah. During the ceremony, officials from both countries highlighted the intent to expand joint exercises, share expertise, and coordinate on security challenges affecting the region.

The protocol marks a continuation of the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Kuwait, which has included previous collaborations in defense, trade, and humanitarian assistance. Under the terms of the agreement, Pakistani military instructors will conduct training programs for Kuwaiti personnel, and Pakistan will extend support to Kuwait’s border‑security operations as required.

No further details on the scope, duration, or financial aspects of the agreement were disclosed at the time of signing. The agreement is expected to be implemented in phases, with both governments coordinating the necessary logistical and operational arrangements.

The signing ceremony was reported by *Akhbar‑e‑Khyber* and reflects ongoing efforts by both nations to deepen strategic cooperation in the defense sector.
