Първите български граждани вече гласуваха в Атина

Bulgarian citizens have already cast their votes in Athens, despite heavy rain and poor weather conditions. In the capital, four polling stations have been opened: two are located in the building of the Bulgarian Embassy, where voting is conducted exclusively with traditional paper ballots, while the other two are situated in the city centre and offer both paper and machine voting options. The election day began at 07:00 local and Bulgarian time and will run until 20:00. Bulgarian voters may exercise their right to vote using paper ballots, and in the sections designated by the Central Electoral Commission, machine voting is also available. Across Greece, a total of 24 polling stations have been established for Bulgarian citizens. In addition to the four in Athens, there is a station in the building of the Bulgarian Consulate General in Thessaloniki. Further stations are located in the cities of Kavala, Kalamata, Komotini, Nafplio, Nea Moudania, Nea Peramos, Nikiti, Patra, and Stavros, as well as on the islands of Corfu, Kos, Limnos, Mykonos, and Rhodes. According to BTA, five polling stations on the island of Crete are open in Heraklion, Ierapetra, Mires, Rethymno, and Chania. Today Bulgaria is holding elections for president and vice‑president of the republic. If a second round is required, it will take place on 1 November.
