Rabindra Shrijon Kala University’s Department of Drama will stage a performance of the play “Animal Farm” at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s National Theatre in Dhaka. Two evening shows are scheduled for 26 and 27 October, each beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the main hall. The stage adaptation is based on George Orwell’s 1945 political allegory “Animal Farm.” The script was written by Nazrul Saeed, who has translated the novel’s themes of abuse of power, the corruption of revolutionary ideals, political deception, historical revisionism, and the erosion of ordinary citizens’ rights into a dramatic format. The production is directed by Saidur Rahman Lipon.
