جمال بنعمر ينفي علاقته برسالة مفتوحة موجهة إلى محمود عرشان ويؤكد أنها ملفقة

Jamal Benomar, the Moroccan political prisoner who has been held since 2018, has denied that he wrote or published an open letter addressed to former parliamentarian and commissioner Mahmoud Arshaan. The letter, which has circulated on several Moroccan websites, was attributed to Benomar by a number of online outlets. In a statement released to the press, Benomar said, “I confirm that the open letter addressed to former parliamentarian and commissioner Mahmoud Arshaan, which has been attributed to me on several Moroccan sites, is fabricated. I did not write or publish it.” Benomar’s denial comes amid ongoing controversy over the authenticity of the document. He has described the letter as “fabricated” and asserted that there is no basis for the claim that he authored it. The statement was issued in response to the widespread sharing of the letter on social media and news sites across Morocco.
