Станка Златева лично подписала на адвокат, който изтеглил жалбата срещу Весела Лечева

The president of the Bulgarian Wrestling Federation (BWF), former five‑time world champion Stanka Zlateva, signed a power of attorney for lawyer Nikolay Dimitrov. Dimitrov had withdrawn Zlateva’s complaint against the election of Vesela Lecheva as president of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC). The document, which also contains Zlateva’s signature, is now part of the case. On Tuesday the BWF’s Board of Directors removed Belcho Goranov from his post as general secretary. The decision was taken in response to the withdrawn complaint and the board also sent a formal notice to the prosecutor’s office regarding Goranov. The board’s actions triggered a strong reaction from former Olympic, world and European champion Georgi Markov, who had been a long‑time supporter of Zlateva. Markov posted the following statement on social media: > “After today’s meeting of the BWF Board of Directors, I declare that I do not agree with the decisions taken. I categorically distance myself from the actions of the board. No more compromises should be made against Bulgarian wrestling. Therefore, I resign as a member of the BWF Board.” Markov is also the grandfather of a promising young wrestler who bears his name. Earlier, Rahmat Sukra had resigned from the board. Subsequently, Ivo Angelov and Georgi Kalchev announced their opposition to the current management. Most of the resigning members expressed support for Todor Angelov’s candidacy for the presidency, hoping to curb the ongoing scandals. An extraordinary general meeting of the federation is scheduled for 17 October. The meeting was called by a court following a complaint from member clubs, after the board declined to convene it. The meeting will address the current leadership crisis and the future direction of Bulgarian wrestling.
