The Uzbekistan national chess team has moved into first place in the standings following the fifth round of the Chess Olympiad. The team secured its fifth consecutive victory, surpassing China to take the lead in the tournament.
In the fifth round, the primary men’s team from Uzbekistan defeated Hungary with a score of 4-0, bringing their total to a maximum of 10 points. Other national teams also recorded successful results during the round. The Uzbekistan-2 men’s team defeated the Philippines with a score of 2.5-1.5.
