Lebanon is currently experiencing relatively stable autumn weather, with temperatures remaining within seasonal averages for the eastern Mediterranean region. According to the latest forecast from the Department of Meteorology, conditions are expected to become locally unstable starting Tuesday, with light, scattered rain forecast through Thursday afternoon.
For Monday, the weather will range from clear to partly cloudy, with fog expected on the highlands. Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly, particularly in inland areas, with scattered drizzle possible in northern and mountainous regions by the afternoon.
On Tuesday, the sky will be partly cloudy with occasional dense fog on the highlands. While temperatures on the coast are expected to remain stable, a slight decrease is anticipated in the mountains and inland areas. Winds will occasionally pick up, and scattered rain is expected to begin in northern regions by midday.
Wednesday will remain partly cloudy with fog on the highlands and stable temperatures. Increased wind activity, particularly in the north, is expected to cause higher sea waves. By Thursday, the weather will continue to be partly cloudy with dense fog on the highlands. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, with occasional wind and light, scattered rain expected from the afternoon onwards.
The Department of Meteorology notes that average temperatures for September typically range between 22 and 32 degrees Celsius in Tripoli, 24 and 32 degrees in Beirut, and 16 and 32 degrees in Zahle.
