തിരുവല്ലയില്‍ സ്‌കൂട്ടറും പിക്കപ്പ് വാനും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് അപകടം; യുവാവ് മരിച്ചു

A pickup van collided with a scooter in Thukalassery, a locality in Thiruvalla, Kerala, on Sunday morning at approximately 8:30 a.m., resulting in the death of a 29‑year‑old resident of Alappuzha district.

The deceased, identified as Ajeesh Mohanan, was riding the scooter with a passenger when the pickup, which had lost control, struck the vehicle. Ajeesh was taken to a private medical college hospital in Thiruvalla but succumbed to his injuries before treatment could be completed.

The passenger, a migrant worker named Niyaz, sustained injuries in the collision and was also admitted to the same hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest that heavy rainfall at the time of the incident caused the pickup van to skid on wet road surface, leading to the collision. The pickup driver was reported to have suffered only minor injuries.

Thiruvalla police have opened an inquiry into the accident and are reviewing the circumstances that led to the loss of control by the pickup van.
