The Old Riga Festival is scheduled to take place today on Dome Square, serving as a major cultural event in the Latvian capital. The festivities are set to begin at 10:00 and continue throughout the day, featuring a variety of performances aimed at families and music enthusiasts.
The morning program focuses on family-oriented entertainment, including performances by the children’s ensemble Dzeguzite, the group Bitit Matos alongside the folk dance ensemble Dzipars, and a contemporary dance performance by the LE++ collective. A program featuring a children’s DJ, Guts, is also scheduled for the first half of the day.
The afternoon and evening sessions will feature a lineup of Latvian artists, including Apvedcels, Olga Rajecka, Buu, ODS, and the group Muud. The event will conclude with a headline performance by the group Bermudu divsturis. Throughout the day, DJs will provide continuous musical accompaniment between the scheduled live sets.
Organizers have stated that the festival is free to the public and is intended to provide a comprehensive cultural experience in the center of Riga, combining live music with family-friendly activities.
