Egyptian singer Mohamed Fouad is scheduled to perform a concert in London today, Saturday. During the event, the artist is expected to perform a selection of his most popular romantic songs for his audience.
Fouad began his musical career in the early 1980s. His entry into the industry was facilitated by musician Ezzat Abu Ouf and the band Four M. According to historical accounts of his career, Fouad was discovered in 1982 after a chance encounter with Abu Ouf at the El Shams Club, where the band had been performing. Following an introduction by his brother and a friend, Abu Ouf invited Fouad to audition, leading to his collaboration with the group.
Throughout his career, Fouad has released numerous songs, including Al Hob El Haqiqi, Hayran, and Khadni El Haneen. He later transitioned into cinema, achieving significant success with the 1997 film Ismailia Rayeh Gay, which reportedly earned 15 million Egyptian pounds at the box office. His filmography also includes roles in Rahlet Hob, alongside Mai Ezz El-Din and Ahmed Helmy, and Ghawi Hob with Hala Shiha.
After more than 36 years in the industry, Fouad previously took a 10-year hiatus from performing and recording. In past interviews, he attributed this break to the unstable conditions in the country at the time.
