Egyptian actor Sherif Mounir expressed his gratitude after being honored at the second edition of the Dhofar International Theater Festival in Oman. The festival is presided over by Ammar bin Obeid Ghawas.
During his first visit to Salalah, Mounir stated that the experience of meeting the Omani public was a source of pride and happiness. He praised the local population, describing the Omani people as respectful, polite, and generous, noting that he felt welcomed from the moment he arrived in the Sultanate.
Mounir thanked the festival administration for the recognition, emphasizing the special value he places on the award. He also highlighted the importance of the festival as a platform for artists and creators from various countries to connect and foster cultural exchange.
Regarding future artistic cooperation, Mounir expressed a desire for increased collaboration between Egypt and Oman. He suggested initiatives such as exchanging theatrical productions between the two nations and producing joint artistic works to strengthen ties between the two peoples.
In addition to his festival participation, Mounir shared his admiration for the natural landscape of the Dhofar Governorate. After visiting several mountainous areas, he remarked on the beauty of the region and suggested that the local environment contributes to the kindness and hospitality of the people of Dhofar.
