The government of Pakistan has approved a new five-year automotive policy aimed at restructuring the industry. A key feature of the policy includes a proposal to implement a phased reduction in duties on the import of hybrid vehicles.
Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, discussed the policy during a private television program. He stated that the initiative is designed to influence the automotive market over the next five years.
