Коллапс и поражение: командир дал тревожный прогноз войны в Украине

Dmitry Filatov, commander of the 1st Separate Assault Regiment, has warned that Russia may significantly enhance its satellite communication capabilities within the next year, potentially altering the course of the war in Ukraine. In an interview with the media outlet Tretya Mirovaya, Filatov stated that Russia is currently working to expand its orbital coverage over Ukrainian territory.

According to Filatov, Russia currently maintains satellite coverage over Ukraine for approximately 1.5 hours at a time. He alleged that Russia needs to launch seven additional satellite carriers to achieve continuous, uninterrupted satellite communication coverage across the entire country. The commander emphasized that reliable communication is a critical component of modern warfare, essential for both logistics and the command and control of strike systems.

Filatov noted that Ukraine currently maintains a technological advantage through the use of the Starlink satellite system. He warned that if Russian forces achieve stable satellite connectivity, it could allow them to scale up the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and other strike systems. While Filatov acknowledged that Russia already possesses the capacity for large-scale production of FPV drones and loitering munitions, he suggested that the country currently faces challenges in effectively managing these systems over long distances.

The commander outlined a potential scenario in which Russia could deploy hundreds of loitering munitions daily toward Ukrainian cities. He stated that such a development would create significant challenges for Ukrainian logistics and the movement of personnel and equipment.

The comments from the commander follow recent reports regarding various diplomatic and military assessments concerning the ongoing conflict. No official confirmation from the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding these specific satellite deployment plans was provided in the report.
