**Anticyclone “Ulrich” to Bring Warm Weather to Ukraine**
Ukraine is set to experience a period of warm weather as the “Ulrich” anticyclone moves across the region, according to weather forecasts.
Meteorologist Vitaliy Postrygan reported that the beginning of September has been characterized by temperature fluctuations and a lack of rainfall. As of today, daytime temperatures are expected to reach between 21°C and 26°C.
On September 9 and 10, the Azores-origin anticyclone “Ulrich” will shift from Europe toward southern latitudes, facilitating the influx of subtropical air into Ukraine. In the Cherkasy region, temperatures are forecast to range from 11°C to 16°C at night, rising to 23°C to 28°C during the day.
However, this warm spell is expected to be brief. Postrygan noted that leading meteorological models indicate a trend toward a short-term cooling period and scattered rainfall toward the end of the work week.
Despite the lack of precipitation, the current weather conditions are considered favorable for agriculture. Postrygan stated that no frosts are expected before September 20, providing stable conditions for crop maturation and harvesting.
Meteorologist Natalka Didenko added that Ukraine is currently experiencing a period of “young Indian summer.” According to her forecast, the country will remain under the influence of the anticyclone in the coming days. On September 8, conditions are expected to be sunny and dry, with temperatures reaching 22°C to 25°C, and up to 28°C in western regions. On September 9 and 10, temperatures are expected to climb further to between 25°C and 30°C. While no rain is forecast, Didenko noted that morning fog is possible.
