**NDC Chairman Rejects NPP’s Criticism of Ghana Gold Board**
National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has dismissed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recent criticism of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) as a political distraction.
In a statement, Asiedu Nketia said the NPP’s remarks were aimed at diverting attention from the government’s broader agenda. He reaffirmed the NDC’s confidence in the operations of GoldBod, the state‑owned entity responsible for the country’s gold mining sector.
The NPP had previously raised concerns about GoldBod’s management and performance. Asiedu Nketia’s response underscores the NDC’s stance that the criticisms are politically motivated rather than based on substantive issues.
