Army Intercepts Illegal Arms Shipment in Kaduna, Foils Trafficking Network

Troops of Sector 7, Operation ENDURING PEACE, have intercepted an illegal arms shipment in Kaduna State, recovering seven firearms and disrupting a suspected weapons trafficking network operating across Plateau and Niger states.

The intelligence-led operation followed credible information, leading to the seizure of the weapons. An operational report made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja confirmed the development.

The interception is a major breakthrough in curbing the flow of illegal arms into the region, which has been a persistent security challenge. The military continues to intensify efforts to dismantle trafficking networks and ensure public safety.

The operation underscores the effectiveness of intelligence-driven security measures in combating arms proliferation and related crime in North-West Nigeria.
