Armenian Students Win Five Medals at International Math Olympiad in Shanghai

Armenia’s team has made the nation proud at the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Shanghai, China, securing one silver medal, four bronze medals, and an honorable mention. The competition, held from July 2026, brought together 666 students from 120 countries, with each nation fielding up to six contestants. The Olympiad featured two theoretical rounds testing advanced mathematical problem-solving skills. Tenth-grader Hayk Manukyan was among the standout performers, contributing to Armenia’s impressive medal tally. This achievement highlights the strength of Armenia’s mathematics education and positions the country as a rising force in global STEM competitions.
