Armed Robbery by Acquaintance Leaves Maraval Resident Reeling

A 65-year-old resident of Maraval was robbed at gunpoint by an acquaintance he had invited over for drinks. The incident took place at the victim’s home in Fairways, Maraval. The host and the suspect had met at Smokey and Bunty’s Bar six months prior and maintained contact. The night took a violent turn when the suspect was asked to leave and instead retaliated with a firearm, robbing the victim of $1,700 in cash, a Dell laptop, an iPhone 11, several bank cards, and even the victim’s car. The suspect, reportedly in his 40s and of mixed descent, is distinguishable by his crooked or missing teeth.
