A 28-year-old man fell victim to a violent home invasion in Roystonia, Couva on Monday, April 13, 2026. The incident, which occurred around 10:20 a.m., saw the victim being robbed at gunpoint by two armed men who forced their way into his residence through a southern door. It was a terrifying ordeal as the suspects announced a robbery, instilling fear for his life. One of the assailants used tie straps to restrain the helpless victim. The robbers made away with approximately $3,200 in cash and several cellular phones. Fleeing the scene, the suspects entered a gold-coloured Nissan Almera, driven by an unseen third individual. Despite efforts, the vehicle’s registration number was not obtained, and the direction of the escape remains unknown. PC Francis is actively pursuing the investigation into this alarming incident.
