Emmanuel Armah‑Kofi Buah, Ghana’s Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has called on the Chinese mining conglomerate Zijin Mining Group to make Ghana the centrepiece of its African exploration and investment strategy.
In a statement, Minister Buah said Ghana is strategically positioned to serve as a major mining investment hub on the continent and is ready to welcome increased activity from Zijin. He urged the company to view Ghana as a springboard for expanding its operations across Africa.
The call follows ongoing discussions between Ghanaian officials and Zijin representatives about potential investment projects in the country’s mining sector.
