“Aplikimet në e-Albania rriten me 40 përqind”/ Rama: Programi i AI i detyruar për administratën

**Applications on e‑Albania Rise 40 % as Albania Pushes AI into Public Administration**

*Pristina, 2026* – During the Second Innovation Forum, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced a series of measures aimed at accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across the country’s public sector. The forum, held in Tirana, highlighted a 40 % increase in the number of applications submitted through the e‑Albania portal, the government’s digital services platform.

Rama outlined a roadmap that includes pilot projects in health, environmental protection, and agriculture. He emphasized that AI integration will become a mandatory component of public administration, stating that the technology is “essential for modern governance.” The plan also calls for the development of the country’s first AI‑powered procurement system, intended to streamline public spending and improve transparency.

The Prime Minister’s remarks were part of a broader strategy to position Albania as a regional leader in digital innovation. The government has already begun deploying AI tools in several ministries, and the upcoming initiatives are expected to expand the technology’s reach across additional public services.
