ANGOSTURA® Bitters Featured in the World’s Most Expensive Cocktail
ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters was a key ingredient in the world’s most expensive cocktail, crafted by internationally renowned master mixologist Salvatore Calabrese, also known as The Maestro.
This record-setting drink was created at Nahaté, a luxury fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar in Dubai, UAE, and priced at an astounding US$41,160 (over TT$275,000), cementing its place in the world of luxury mixology.
The cocktail was served in rare Baccarat crystal glassware from 1937 and featured a unique combination of vintage ingredients, including ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters from the 1930s, Patrón tequila, and Kina Lillet from 1950.
Prior to this creation, Calabrese held the Guinness World Record for the most expensive cocktail with Salvatore’s Legacy, crafted in 2012 and valued at £5,500. That cocktail included 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac, 1770 Kummel Liqueur, 1860 Dubb Orange Curaçao, and ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters from the early 1900s.
