Amhara Region Tax Collection Hits 9.1 Billion Birr

In a notable achievement, Ethiopia’s Amhara Region Revenue Bureau has successfully collected 9.1 billion Birr in tax revenue as part of its fiscal year strategy. The region, which aims to bolster its financial health, is working towards a larger target of 100.3 billion Birr for the 2026 fiscal year. As of June 11, 2026, the bureau has reached 69.1 billion Birr, indicating an impressive 81.4% of its overall goal. This collection reflects not only the efficacy of the region’s tax policies but also a commitment to enhance urban services while supporting the local economy.
