Police estimated the street value of the amphetamine found during a real‑estate viewing on the third Advent last year at more than 4.2 million Swedish kronor. The drug was discovered in a fully functioning amphetamine laboratory located in a property just outside Viken, a suburb of Oslo, during a viewing in mid‑December. Following the discovery, authorities arrested two men who were later convicted. Both received lengthy prison sentences, and the younger of the two was sentenced to life imprisonment. The case has drawn attention to the presence of illicit drug production facilities in residential areas.
