United States Congressmen Greg Murphy and Marc Veasey visited the Potočari Memorial Center in Srebrenica during an official trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. During their visit, the representatives called for the reintroduction of sanctions against officials who deny the Srebrenica genocide and glorify individuals convicted of war crimes.
The congressmen toured the memorial site alongside the center’s director to pay their respects. Their request for sanctions follows ongoing international discussions regarding the political climate in the region and the importance of addressing historical atrocities.
