Alibocas, Premchand Deliver Wheelchair to Corinth Resident

Shadow MP for San Fernando East John Michael Alibocas and Councillor Shawn Premchand joined forces to deliver a wheelchair to Mr. Gopaul, a resident of 1st Street West, Corinth Settlement, Ste. Madeleine.

The distribution, shared on Facebook by Makamillion, captured the gratitude of Mr. Gopaul and highlighted what the post described as the importance of small acts of kindness. In the video, Alibocas noted that the wheelchair provided was not the final one, stating, “we will be coming back here on Tuesday to the proper wheelchair.”

Premchand, Councillor for the Corinth/Cedar Hill District, accompanied Alibocas in making the delivery. The event was framed as part of ongoing community service efforts, with the post emphasising that such work involves “showing up, listening to our people, identifying their needs, and working together to provide meaningful assistance.”

Alibocas and Premchand both reiterated their commitment to serving the community, with a message of “Service with Compassion.” The gesture aimed to address Mr. Gopaul’s mobility needs and was met with appreciation from the resident.

The wheelchair distribution is one of several community outreach initiatives by local officials, underscoring the role of direct assistance in addressing constituents’ needs.
