Dolly Parton’s agent withdrew a civil lawsuit against the singer’s nephew on Thursday, according to American media reports. The suit, filed in September by Danny Nozell, Parton’s manager, alleged that Bryan Seaver threatened to seize the artist’s financial empire, which includes the Dollywood theme park, a hotel and an upcoming museum. Seaver, who had overseen security for Parton’s properties for years, was abruptly dismissed. In August he announced the country‑music legend’s death at age 80. Court documents revealed that Seaver had sent threatening messages, including a text warning that he would become “the vengeful arm for the entire family.” A judge had issued a temporary restraining order against Seaver, but the order was vacated by a Nashville court on Thursday. Parton’s business holdings are estimated at $450 million, according to Forbes. The singer’s husband, Carl Dean, died last year, and the couple had no children.
