Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni celebrated his 82nd birthday on 15 September 2026, thanking the 8 million well‑wishers who sent him congratulations.
In a message posted to the online newspaper The Independent Uganda, Museveni expressed gratitude for the blessings and support he received from the large number of people who celebrated his milestone.
The post, titled “Africa’s Future and Uganda’s Petroleum Security,” was published on The Independent Uganda’s website and focused on the President’s personal reflections rather than on petroleum security matters.
