Additional EC$19 million coming for Dominica’s small businesses, say officials

Dominica’s small businesses are set to receive an additional EC$19 million in concessionary financing, according to government officials. The funding is expected to be made available starting in December as part of an expansion of a small-business loan programme.

The programme has already provided financing to over 500 businesses. Finance Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre announced the plans to expand the programme, which aims to support Dominican entrepreneurs.

The EC$19 million in funding is intended to provide further support to the country’s small business sector. The government’s move to expand the loan programme is seen as an effort to promote economic growth and development in Dominica.
