Trincity/Maloney MP, Camille Robinson-Regis, recently disclosed that she underwent major surgery, which led to complications. She is currently in the process of recovery, hence her noticeable absence from public interactions and important political events such as the PNM public meetings and General Council meetings. The last public comment made by Robinson-Regis was on June 20, during the PNM internal elections, where she expressed her disappointment over the criticism directed at former political leader and prime minister, Dr Keith Rowley, by some senior members of the party. Robinson-Regis, who has been a significant member of the party, has previously served as the chairman of the PNM Women’s League and as a leader of the House.
