**Leica Singapore Announces 7‑Day Photography Tour of Bhutan**

Leica Singapore has announced a new travel photography program, “Travel with Leica: Kingdom of Bhutan,” scheduled to run from 10 to 16 December 2026. The tour will be conducted in partnership with Druk Asia and will cover the Bhutanese towns of Thimphu, Punakha and Paro.

The itinerary includes visits to the Druk Wangyel Tshechu festival, local markets, monasteries, and a climb to the Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Participants will receive instruction on light, composition and visual storytelling, with opportunities to apply these concepts in real‑time settings.

The program is part of Leica Singapore’s broader “Chasing Light, Finding Wisdom” exhibition, which ran at the Leica Store Marina Bay Sands from 9 April to 10 June 2026. The exhibition showcased photographs from a previous Bhutan trip that were also featured in a photo essay titled *Kingdom in the Clouds* in *Luxury Travel Magazine* Australia.

The tour’s lead photographer, who has more than 25 years of experience as a creative director and travel photographer, emphasizes a mindful approach to photography. He notes that the most meaningful images often arise when photographers slow down, listen, and engage respectfully with people and surroundings. “Photography should be a way to give pictures, not just take them,” he said. “Sometimes that means sharing a portrait with the person who gave you their time, sometimes it means listening before photographing, and sometimes it means understanding that the most respectful decision is to leave the camera lowered.”

Participants will explore how slowing down and paying attention can transform both the photographs they capture and the connections they form with local communities. The tour is marketed as an opportunity to experience Bhutan’s mountains, festivals, cuisine, culture and people while developing a more contemplative photographic practice.
