Allister Guevarro, Commissioner of Police, issued a stern warning to criminals, stating that they will face the full force of the law. This follows the successful rescue of Captain Daniel Kawall, a Caribbean Airlines pilot, in the Maraval district, confirmed by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS). Commissioner Guevarro used this opportunity to commend the bravery of the officers and to reaffirm the commitment to the safety of every citizen. He emphasized that the return of kidnappings for ransom, a crime prevalent in the past, will not be tolerated. The operation involved multiple agencies and resulted in one suspect being injured and later dying, while three are in custody. Two suspects remain at large, with ground and aerial units in pursuit. The TTPS urged the public to remain vigilant.
