Penal Businessman Murdered in Own Shop by Masked Assailant

A 46-year-old businessman from Penal, Kevin Ryan, was tragically murdered within his own business establishment, the Big G One Stop Shop, on Wednesday night. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. when a masked assailant, dressed in an orange coverall and a dark ski mask, entered the shop armed with a firearm. The gunman shot Ryan in the chest, who then tried to flee but collapsed and died in the kitchen of his shop. It was reported that the suspect had previously entered the shop while Ryan was away, left, and then returned to execute the fatal attack. The assailant managed to escape on foot and is still at large. Ryan’s death was later confirmed by the District Medical Officer who has ordered a post-mortem examination.
