On August 18th, 2025, a major operation was carried out in the Western Division by the Western Division Task Force (WDTF) leading to a significant seizure of narcotics and ammunition. The operation spanned seven hours, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and was greenlit by Senior Superintendent Williams. Intelligence led officers to a house on Waterwheel Road, Diego Martin, where a search under the Emergency Powers Regulation 2025 led to the discovery of 73.1 grams of cocaine, 8.9 grams of MDMA, and thirty-five rounds of 9mm ammunition. These illegal items were found in a backpack in a bedroom. A 22-year-old resident was arrested in connection with the findings.
