Off-Duty Soldier Apprehends Teen in $30k Gold Chain Robbery

On August 16, 2025, at around 5:30 p.m., a residence on Delhi Road in Fyzabad became the scene of a disturbing home invasion. Two masked men, one armed, confronted a man in his home. Dressed in dark clothing, they stole a gold chain from the victim, a piece valued at TT$30,000, and promptly fled the scene. The victim quickly spread the news of the robbery through a community WhatsApp group. An off-duty regiment officer in the area noticed two individuals matching the suspects’ description. He managed to apprehend one of them, a 19-year-old named Jaheem Glasshow from John Jules Trace, Fyzabad. Glasshow was found to be carrying a loaded Smith & Wesson pistol. The second suspect, however, remains at large.
