From August 7th to 9th, 2025, the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) in Port of Spain will host a free medical services event, offering a variety of healthcare options for the community. The event runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is provided by medical teams from the U.S. Navy Mercy-class hospital ship USNS Comfort in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. Services available on a first-come, first-served basis include general adult and pediatric medicine, cardiology, women’s health, optometry, dental care, laboratory tests and x-rays, dermatology, physical therapy, and pharmacy services. This initiative aims to enhance access to healthcare for the public, ensuring that vital medical services are available to those in need without any cost.
