A shocking incident unfolded in Belmont on Saturday afternoon when a 39-year-old rideshare driver was abducted and violently robbed. The driver was operating his white Toyota Aqua around 5 p.m. when he accepted a ride request from a woman who wanted to go to the Holiday Inn in Oropune Gardens. Upon reaching Rigsby Lane, he was ambushed by three men who forced their way into his vehicle and announced a hold-up. The suspects compelled the victim to drive to Rudolph Charles Link Road, where they tied his hands and feet, blindfolded him with a cloth, and placed him in the trunk of his car. The criminals then drove a short distance before abandoning the vehicle, leaving the man still trapped inside. Authorities are investigating the incident and urging anyone with information to come forward to help apprehend the suspects responsible for this brazen attack.
