An autopsy at the San Fernando General Hospital confirmed that Kalisa Danclair, a 30-year-old store manager from Siparia, died from drowning after her vehicle fell into the Oropouche River. The tragic incident occurred on the night of July 28th when Danclair’s car crashed through a bridge barrier at Debe Trace around 9:00 p.m. Witnesses reported hearing a crash before discovering the silver Toyota Axio submerged in the river. Emergency services, including the Penal Police and Fire Services, responded promptly, with local residents aiding in the recovery of Danclair’s body from the vehicle. The wreckage was later removed from the river by a towing service. A district medical officer pronounced her dead at the scene, and her body was transported to the San Fernando General Hospital Mortuary for further examination.
