A man was involved in a frightening incident in New Grant on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, when he was confronted by a man known as Gerard George while picking mangoes near his home. Initially, an argument broke out between the two, leading George to leave the scene temporarily. However, he returned shortly after, armed with a homemade shotgun, which he pointed at the victim, escalating the situation. A struggle ensued, during which the firearm slipped from George’s grip and fell to the ground. Taking advantage of the moment, George fled into nearby bushes. The Princes Town Police Station quickly dispatched officers, led by PC Aqui, who were informed of the incident. The victim guided them to the location where they recovered the homemade shotgun. Following this, CSI officer PC Madho arrived to process the scene and collect evidence. The victim provided a statement, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
