Eight-year-old calypso prodigy, Xhaiden Darius, departed from Piarco this morning to represent Trinidad and Tobago in Anguilla. Xhaiden, a student of the Savonetta Primary School, proved his talent by winning the 2025 National Junior Calypso Monarch competition with his captivating performance of ‘Calypso Will Survive’. His success is no surprise, considering his mother is the 2023 Calypso Queen, Tameika Darius. This journey is just the beginning for Xhaiden, a young ambassador who is ready to take Trinidad and Tobago’s calypso music to the world.
