A 65-year-old British woman was shot and killed in a brazen daylight attack in Trincity on Sunday. The victim, identified as Elaine Mc Jouan of Mohammed Ville, San Juan, was with her husband outside a home on 5th Street East, Delamare Avenue at around 11 a.m. when the incident unfolded.
A silver Nissan Tiida, bearing the registration number PDJ 5209, pulled up to the scene. A gunman emerged from the vehicle, unleashed a hail of bullets, and then made a swift getaway in the waiting car.
Mc Jouan was immediately rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Investigators at the crime scene managed to recover two spent 9mm shell casings.
So far, the authorities have not disclosed any potential motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made yet, and detectives from the Homicide Bureau, Region Two, are continuing with their investigations.
