A tornado struck the construction site in Kepez district, Antalya, on the night of the incident, killing five workers. Photographs taken from the site show extensive damage. Containers that housed the workers were shattered, with metal frames bent and broken. Wall and roof panels had been ripped from their positions and scattered around the site. One container’s metal skeleton remained upright while surrounding debris was reduced to rubble. In addition to the container damage, a large excavator used on the site was overturned. The machine’s long metal body lay on the ground, surrounded by scattered construction materials. The images, captured at night, illustrate the force of the tornado and the resulting destruction of the site.
