A 45-year-old individual was apprehended during a synchronised anti-crime operation in the Northern and South Western Divisions. The police seized a revolver and ammunition during the operation on Thursday, 26th February, 2026. The South Western Division Task Force, at approximately 10:15 p.m., executed a search warrant at a residence in the Siparia district. During the search, a revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition was discovered. The resident was subsequently arrested, and police continue their investigations.
