In Heraklion, a 42‑year‑old man was re‑arrested after being released on bail for a domestic‑violence case.
The man, who had previously been incarcerated for an incident of domestic violence, was freed on a bail bond that reportedly included a “bracchial” (bail) condition. He was later detained again after allegedly cutting his father with a knife.
Police officers in Heraklion re‑handcuffed the suspect and placed him back in custody. The incident followed the man’s earlier release from prison, where he had been serving a sentence related to domestic‑violence charges.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the assault or the legal proceedings that followed the re‑arrest.
