A family from Trinidad and Tobago is rejoicing over a miraculous event – the survival of their triplets, born prematurely at just 27 weeks. The triplets, named Zayaan, Zain, and Zaidal, fought a strenuous battle in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Port of Spain General Hospital, highlighting the crucial work done by healthcare professionals every day.
Their father, a social media personality known as ‘bodybyimran’, shared their moving journey online, labelling it as a ‘history-making’ event in Trinidad and Tobago. Born months earlier than expected, the boys required immediate specialist attention and continuous monitoring.
Imran expressed deep gratitude towards the hospital staff for their relentless dedication and guidance. He commended the NICU for its organization, stringent sanitation protocols, and an evident emphasis on cleanliness and patient care.
The unity, teamwork, and emotional support demonstrated by the staff also drew heartfelt praise. Imran humorously remarked that his sons now have ‘about seven mothers and five fathers’ due to the deep involvement of the medical team in their care. He also noted the well-equipped NICU, complete with incubators and ventilators essential for premature infant care.
The family’s story has sparked nationwide pride, with citizens applauding the commitment, professionalism, and life-saving care of the country’s healthcare workers. The family has expressed plans to return to the hospital in the future with the boys, to thank the staff who saw them through their challenging journey.
