In the third and final Twenty20 match between India and Afghanistan, played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Pune, India posted a total of 221 runs for the loss of seven wickets.
The toss was won by Afghanistan captain Ibragim Shah, who elected to bowl first. India began their innings with opener Abhishek Sharma, who produced a blistering start, hitting multiple boundaries and sixes to reach a century in just 30 balls.
Sharma’s rapid century became the fastest by an Indian player in international T20 cricket. Fellow opener Sanju Samson also contributed with a half‑century, helping India to amass 221 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Afghanistan’s bowlers were unable to contain the Indian batting lineup. Omarshai was the most successful bowler for Afghanistan, taking two wickets during the innings.
