The State Agency for National Security (DANS) reportedly submitted information to the prosecutor’s office regarding allegations of pedophilia linked to the Petrohan case as early as 2025. The disclosure was made public on September 17, 2026.
During a statement regarding the matter, the chairman of the agency suggested that timely intervention by relevant authorities could have potentially prevented loss of life. The agency maintains that it had alerted the prosecution to the situation well before the recent developments.
