Tragedy struck a family in St James on Saturday night when a 13-year-old boy fell from a Housing Development Corporation apartment complex and later died. The incident, which occurred approximately at 8 p.m. on February 21, saw the boy, who was reportedly suffering from a high fever, running out of their sixth-floor apartment and later being found on the ground outside the building. Police officers responded swiftly to the scene. The boy was rushed to Mt Hope Children’s Hospital with a broken leg by Emergency Health Services. Despite the efforts of the medical team, the boy succumbed to his injuries around 3 a.m.
