100 homes face demolition

At least 100 properties in Harare are slated for demolition after the city council issued a 14‑day ultimatum to residents of illegally developed and unregularised settlements. The council said the demolitions would begin once the compliance period expires, but it also stated that the action would be a last resort. The final number of properties to be demolished has not yet been confirmed. The report was written by staff reporter Tapiwa Chirume.
